Support • No audio on an iOS device
No sound? Why is the word “muted” showing up on the main screen of the app? This means that your device is muted.
- Other apps may have sound. Videos and music may have sound.
- We do not override the mute switch (ring/silent) in our apps. Some developers do.
- Choose your device category below to show how to toggle the mute switch (ring/silent), find the volume buttons, and access Control Center.
iPads with Home buttons
- With home button at bottom, check the mute switch (upper right side). Toggle so that orange is not showing.
- Below the mute switch are 2 volume buttons. Check to see if the volume is turned all the way down.
iPad (iOS 12 and up)
- Touch the battery/wifi at top-right corner. Swipe down to access Control Center. Check the volume level with the speaker icon.
- Check for silent mode icon. If you have customized Control Center to show the silent mode icon (bell icon), check to see if the bell icon has a slash through it. If yes, tap the bell icon to take it out of silent mode.
